Our Reports

   The Baldwin County Alabama Education Work Team (BCAEWT) read through all lessons in Studies Weekly, grades 4 through 6. Our goal was to identify factual errors and evidence of bias, propaganda, and divisive concepts. We met in discussion groups weekly, where members presented their findings to the group as we viewed, verified, and discussed the material. The report, which follows, constitutes the consolidated findings of the BCAEWT regarding Studies Weekly lessons, grades 4 - 6.

The Baldwin County Alabama Education Work Team (BCAEWT) also performed a review of the K-3 English Language Arts (ELA) textbooks and materials under consideration for adoption by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) in March of 2023. Despite our team's findings and objections from the public, the State Board of Education voted to adopt the entire list, including the Amplify publication that does not meet one of the State's non-negotiable standards.
